DUZcart Dust Containment Cart Design
DUZcart features a sturdy, anodized aluminum frame with bolted connections. The cart dimensions are 30" (76.2 cm) wide by 60" (152.4 cm) long with a collapsed height of 6' 4 1/2" (1.94M). Extended maximum working height is 10' 6" (3.2 M). Height adjustment is simple and universal with no predrilled stops or ratcheted locks. This allows variable height adjustment for any ceiling height without the need to fill gaps or lift the ceiling grid. The patent-pending system was designed for simple single person deployment from inside the cart.
The DUZcart frame assembly is bolted, not welded, allowing for field repair if necessary. The floor is made with 3/4" structural plywood and plastic laminate surfaces on top and bottom. The plastic laminate was chosen for its durability and easy cleaning. The entire unit weighs just over 100 lbs (47.63) kg) and has a conservative working load of 600 lbs (272.16 kg)
The DUZcart's fire retardant nylon fabric drapes in the center of the unit rather that at the base keeping the fabric from getting caught in the wheels. The "droop" keeps the fabric out of the way and helps keep the unit looking cleaner longer. The fabric meets NFPA 701 requirements. It is waterproof, lightweight and easy to clean and maintain.
The non-marring casters are positioned at the far corners of the unit allowing easy access and better stability. The front two casters are equipped with swivel locking brakes to efficiently lock the cart into place prior to entry.
DUZcart is also equipped with a 1 1/4" (3.18 CM) vacuum hose port for connection to a standard HEPA canister vacuum to provide negative air when required. The hose port swivels easily for end or side access. It accepts virtually any standard hose attachment. Now available with an optional 8" Negative Pressure Intake Adaptor mounted directly to the DUZcart frame, eliminating tension on the fabric.
